Heritage Spanish Teaching Certificate
Dr. Jenna Cushing-Leubner, an Assistant Professor in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, shared information about the Heritage Spanish teaching certificate her and her collegue designed and are currently offering. Here is more information on the program: http://carla.umn.edu/institutes/2020/heritage.html
Spanish teachers can get the certificate after completing the required 5 courses, and it definitely takes a critical approach to teaching heritage speakers. It is affordable and all online ($450.00 per course- with the option of getting graduate credit at a higher cost).
